Hajra and John, Indian American Wedding in Augusta GA

Hajra and I have grown up and evolved alongside each other.  I’m lucky to have her  as a lifelong friend…the type of person you’re tied to with an invisible tether that keeps you together no matter how busy life can be or what direction it takes you in.

But this post isn’t about my friendship with Hajra, it’s about her recent marriage to John.  I was fortunate enough to be behind the camera at their Mehndi ceremony at the Fort Gordon Club in Augusta, GA.   This was my first time meeting John, but even from the first few moments of talking to him it was easy to see how genuinely happy he was to be marrying Hajra.  There wasn’t a moment throughout the entire ceremony where I didn’t see him with a huge smile on his face.  Oh yeah, and the chuppah/stage decor you’ll see below?   He made it.  If medicine doesn’t work out for you, I think you could have a bright future in wedding decor!

Hajra, dost: Knowing how hard you’ve worked to get to this point… seeing you as a doctor, a bride, and now a wife is kind of spectacular.  You’re an amazing person with an equally amazing companion by your side.  Congrats on not only your marriage but all the accomplishments you’ve both made along the way to get to this moment in your lives.  Here’s to an exciting new path ahead.
